I am again amazed that such new inventive situations coming from the imaginations of writers such as Ms Thomas. book two continues the story of Ava, Caleb and their friends, family, pack and enemies.This series incorporates stands of the whole and their woven in with the answers parsed out to keep up the mystery and suspense. Ms Thomas throws hurtle and hurtle for her people--each one more severe than the last. So far the ties that keep them close have been able to deal with each problem. How long can that continue?
If you read book one you have to have this one and the next and next and next. So far they are fairly close together so the waiting is minimal.
This isn't a series about one character then another all the characters continue growing and changing as circumstances require. It is hot, has all of the paranormal anyone could want--shape shifters, were wolves, vampires, sorcerers, witches and ....

Little disappointed the second book became so short.
The third book is only 83 pages and I've decided to not continue since the price went from free for book 1 to .99 for book 2 and not 2.99 for book 3.

I finished reading book 2 of the marked one series Scent of Blood Ava is amazing she is who we are following along with her friends and family,the characters are evolving full of suspense.The story is easy to read our author gets to the meant of the story I cant wait for the next book in this series. also her first book should have 5 stars as well.
Caleb and Ava choose to fight. Ava is learning how to be a witch with the help of her mother and next door neighbor. Caleb has vowed to protect her with his life. They engage Blaze. Blaze tries to kill his adopted sister, but Ava puts up a barrier to stop him. Caleb vows to torture him if Lil dies. Great read.
wow not many like cliffhanger books but you have to read these in order to see what is going to happen next. Ava's story continues with Blaez returning to Willow Falls with violent results. She learns more about the history of her line and her destiny and learns she can trust Caleb. who would have believed Ava to be a powerful witch, Caleb a shifter and Blaez a vampire. Great read and now can't wait for the next in the series Jocelyn Thomas has done it again.
This 2nd edition. Leaves you in the edge if your seat wanting more!! The story plot gets better as your learning more about Ava, Caleb, and Blaez. Who is in control and who is falling apart!? Is the fact that Ava can bring down the whole werewolf population a threat to her and Caleb's relationship or will he still want her as a mate? Will Caleb and Blaez be able to repair their relationship?? This story had me wanting more!!
The was a good start to the second book. In this continuation Ava realizes that she is a decedent oracle of her mother's tribe. Who new. To top it off she's imprinted on Caleb the Alpha with the psycho brother Blaez. We find out why Blaez hates his pack and family. What drives him. We also get some background on Sarah. Which is Ava 's mother. When you think you have figured it out the shoe drops. JASPER the King of Vampires wants Ava and wont stop until he gets her. Can she learn to use her power to save them all. Cant wait to see how they get from under this. Did I forget to mention hot sex scene.
Okay, book two picks up right where book one left off. I loved that! The author did not waste any time in diving into book two. In this book you get to see more of the characters and their relationships. Caleb shows more of his alpha side which I found attractive! He is dominate and wants to protect what is his. I also loved seeing more of the badass side of Lil! She is strong and stands right by her brother. Ava, learns that she needs to accept who she is and she needs a crash course in learning about her powers and spells. I really enjoyed seeing the relationships between the mothers and daughters. You don't see these types of relationships in paranormal books to often. So, I am really looking forward to seeing these relationships develop. We also get a glimpse of Blaez's past. I almost feel bad for him...almost. Oh, and did I mention the steamy scene between Caleb and Ava?! Looking forward to read book three.
